Pawnee is reporting two staff members and one high school student staying home today for a positive covid test last night. Current protocol, confirmed by the Weld County Department of Health, for a positive test is 5 days of isolation followed by masking, and return to normal activity if symptom free on day 6-10. If a mask is not used the isolation is still 10 days. Quarantine is no longer required or recommended for people who suspect they have been exposed. People who have been in close contact with a positive case should be notified of the possibility, and monitor themselves for symptoms, regardless of vaccination status. Masking is optional. Any positive cases should be reported, and suspect cases could test on day 6 for confirmation. The district has rapid tests available if you want them. Sorry for the inconvenience, we all know there have been numerous people sick with the flu, colds, and even RSV, but the covid is still around too. Thanks for your support and help in keeping all our families well.

Congratulations Pawnee Clay Target Team!
The team continues to do very well! We are very proud of the team for winning First Place in Conference 1. In addition, Donavon Ellis placed Second in the male high average with 23.1-
Two other team members, Blake Misech and Cash Haun, placed 4th and 5th respectively in our conference.
Congratulations again for First Place and 3 of the top 5 athletes in the conference!

The kindergarten students have been doing a science unit on movement. One fun activity we did was to see how far and how fast could move a marble with only a straw.

The kindergarten and preschool students said the pledge for the Veteran's Day program.

Congratulations to our Grover FFA Creed Speakers who achieved the following at District Leadership Conference in Briggsdale today:

The preschool students made hats to show what they are thankful for.

The preschool and kindergarten students made homemade bread in a bag and butter.

The preschoolers are learning about Thanksgiving and thankfulness this month. Last week they made turkeys with Play-doh and colored straws for feathers.

Students at work on a “Thursday Project Day”. On these days, students are challenged to start and complete a small project in one class period. It might be useful, pretty, practical, or decoration but should be completed within just the day’s class.

Some pictures from the high school trip to Construction Con yesterday. Students had opportunities to operate different kinds of machinery, try out skills in specific trades, visit with colleges, trade schools, and universities about program and certification offerings and speak with businesses within the industry who offer apprenticeships, internships, and no-experience-needed jobs.

Thanks to everyone who came to the community dinner/Halloween Bash on Saturday! What a fun night! Thanks to those who contributed a Trunk to our Trunk-Or-Treat as well!

The Grover FFA members who attended National FFA Convention last week are back and have many experiences and photos to share. Here's a couple from some of the different opportunities we had while we were away.
