A note from Mr. LeClerc: The Winter Concert is almost upon us! Happening Thursday, December 16th at 6:30pm in the gym, the Winter Concert will showcase each class and their hard work in music class these past couple weeks. This will be the first Winter Concert we've had in over a year, so we hope you'll join us in bringing back some holiday spirit next Thursday! Being that our Veterans Day Program happened just last week, the students have had a little less time to prepare for this upcoming concert than they have in the past, so PLEASE help me in encouraging your student(s) to bring their instruments home to practice this weekend! Another way to help them succeed in being prepared is to listen to recordings of whichever song they plan to perform. Feel free to listen with them and ask questions such as "Which lyrics are you singing?" "Where does your part fit into all this?" or "What's the hardest part of this song to play? Have you practiced it?" More information will be imparted to students the closer we get to showtime, but in the meantime, stay warm and feel free to reach out to me with any questions at jleclerc@pawneeschool.org. Thank you!

Due to limited numbers, Pawnee School has made the difficult decision to cancel our high school season and allow our four high school basketball boys to play on the Briggsdale Team for the 2021-2022 season. While this was not the outcome the school had hoped for, we are excited to cheer on our Coyotes as they show off their hard work, dedication, and athletic skills on the basketball court. A new schedule will be posted to the Pawnee Calendar this afternoon. Please join us in supporting our team in the upcoming season!

Want to help a local child have a great Christmas? The Grover FBLA Chapter is sponsoring a gift giving tree to benefit local children and Toys for Tots until December 20th. Here is how it works. There is a tree in the entrance lobby of the school that has ornaments on it. Take an ornament off the tree and buy a gift for the age and sex of the child on the ornament. Then wrap the gift, attach the ornament to the gift and put it under the tree. On December 23rd FBLA will deliver the gifts to the children. It’s that simple. So, let’s make sure we can give a great Christmas to a child in need! FBLA thanks you for your support. Contact Mr. Fluckey for any questions.

Today the kindergarten students shared their stories about what they like to do on rainy days. They talked about going to favorite stores, movie theaters with a parent, to Grandma's house, a coffee shop with a parent, to a friend's house, and staying home with family members. They did a great job and will take the stories home to share with their families.

1st Graders are learning about light, sun and shadows in Reading and Science. They did an experiment about where and how long their shadows would be at different times of the school day. They were really surprised how long they where in the afternoon!
