Want to help a local child have a great Christmas? The Grover FBLA Chapter is sponsoring a gift giving tree to benefit local children and Toys for Tots until December 20th. Here is how it works. There is a tree in the entrance lobby of the school that has ornaments on it. Take an ornament off the tree and buy a gift for the age and sex of the child on the ornament. Then wrap the gift, attach the ornament to the gift and put it under the tree. On December 23rd FBLA will deliver the gifts to the children. It’s that simple. So, let’s make sure we can give a great Christmas to a child in need! FBLA thanks you for your support. Contact Mr. Fluckey for any questions.

Today the kindergarten students shared their stories about what they like to do on rainy days. They talked about going to favorite stores, movie theaters with a parent, to Grandma's house, a coffee shop with a parent, to a friend's house, and staying home with family members. They did a great job and will take the stories home to share with their families.

1st Graders are learning about light, sun and shadows in Reading and Science. They did an experiment about where and how long their shadows would be at different times of the school day. They were really surprised how long they where in the afternoon!

To quarantine or not quarantine? That is the question facing parents of JH/HS students. Many of you facing this decision needed more time to make your decision and we appreciate the calls to the office for answers to questions. Please make your decision this weekend so we can proceed with some consistency starting Monday. If you choose to stay out, the length of the quarantine is 10 days returning November 22. Please let the district know when you will be picking up your student's assignments and we will look forward to seeing these students on Monday the 22nd. If you choose to move forward with in-person instruction and school activities, we will see you this Monday the 15th. COVID tests are available at the school for your peace of mind and are totally optional. A consent form can be downloaded on our website. Thanks!

Late this afternoon the district identified 2 positive COVID cases. One is in the junior high, and the other is in the high school. Quarantine for students in grades 5-12 is recommended because your student may have been exposed. The school is going to remain open, and let parents/guardians make their own decision regarding attendance. There was no exposure in the elementary school and quarantine is not recommended. Please call the school if you have any questions or concerns.
